Meet our Physicians

Leslie B. Dowling, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Dowling is originally from Blackshear, Georgia and has returned home to serve her hometown community. She receivedher Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University. She received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Masters in Business Administration, and her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degrees from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Miami, Florida. She completed a three-year residency at DeKalb Medical, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was trained by the top foot and ankle surgeons known throughout the world. While in Atlanta, she received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Dowling is married to David Dowling and they have two children, Drake and Caroline. Drake is a student at Pierce County High School and Caroline joined Jesus in Heaven on May 18, 2024.

Lee M. HLad, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Hlad is originally from Lowville, New York, where the cows outnumber the people. He attended residency at Grant MedicalCenter, a level one trauma facility, located in Columbus, Ohio. He was then accepted to a highly competitive orthopedic pediatric fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland that focused on limb lengthening and deformity correction. He has held faculty positions for residency programs and has been fellowship director for numerous post graduate fellows.  He lectures and trains other physicians, both nationally and internationally, on cutting edge procedures and advanced techniques. Dr. Hlad is heavily involved in research and has published several peer reviewed journal articles, textbook chapters, and scientific posters. He is considered an expert in limb salvage, external fixation, 3D custom implants, charcot reconstruction, total ankles, and revisionalsurgeries. He has served the Waycross and surrounding areas for the past 7 + years and is an active member of his local church. He enjoys hunting, 4-wheeling, completing his long honey-do list and spending time playing with his four children.

Danielle R. McKenna, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. McKenna was born in Woodbury, New Jersey. She moved many times growing up, but always hoped to end up living close enough to drive to the beach. After attending graduate school in New York City, she completed a 3-yearsurgical residency at Grant Medical Center, a level one trauma facility, located in Columbus, Ohio.  She has honed her practice in on advanced conservative options that are patient-goal centered with an individualized approach. She enjoys being part of the Waycross community and has been serving this area and the surrounding regions since moving here in June 2019. She enjoys cooking for her family and friends, gardening, and spending time with her husband and four children at the beach.
